was a GORGEOUS weekend...had the a/c off, the doors open and the sky was nice and blue---I will order 30 more of those please!

have my earplugs out for our test today...hope I am first so I can lock up and leave when they are done with me.

Was a very nice weekend. Allowed us to keep my parents house opened up while we tore out their kitchen. Spent 14 hours Saturday and another couple on Sunday before driving 3 hours home. We got home and just laid there because we were so tired and sore... But it was fun!

wow, sounds like a LOT of work, but it was a beautiful weekend for that kind of work--not too hot, not too cool, a light breeze, and now your parents...have no kitchen? (do I hear pizza and carry out in their futures?

and it was a good day for a nice loooong drive too....now its warm again, I guess summer is not quite over yet

It was a lot of work, but it was also a perfect weekend for it. And yes, they have no kitchen. Will be that way for a while too. But that is okay. They are the only two home so they don't cook much.

It was a nice day. Except when you are sore. And exhausted. Then you just wanna get home lol.

Heat is back. Which is to bad. I was enjoying keeping the windows open.

yeah...now the mold count is really REALLY high...which could explain why my sinus' hurt (my face feels bruised)....mold mold go away, dont come back ANY day!

we passed our inspection (yeah go figure)....for another year, really hate the intrusion, so bloody annoying to have to let people I dont want into my home

I really hate this place!

What a surprise, another pass. Bummer that you have to keep having them do that year after year, but I guess that is the price of safety. You have any plans to get out of there?

so yesterday while waiting for dr who to come on (missed the new ep---was supposed to be rebroadcast at 11pm)....the

power goes out

nice evening about 9:30, not raining, not windy, was out for about 4 hours, and when it finally came back on...half our electronics werent too happy, lost my sleep noise machine (RIP), and the internet box didnt want to come back either (and the ups it was plugged into didnt want to work either)....spent a few hours getting things back up and running; still rather confused as to why it went out.

Well that is just weird. No report on to why it went out huh? Strange, very strange. I've had that happen before. In our old apartment that happened one day, so we had to go out to get food. We happened to see that a tree fell (or was cut) and it took out some power lines. Just weird when those things happen.

its the norm around here...during storms we have full power, hot temps--no problemo, nice day with no wind and not too hot or cold=power outage

So far the new place hasn't had any power problems that have been long lasting, just a couple of times we lost power for a minute or two. Hopefully it stays that way!

did some cleaning this weekend...the garage now has space

got a new sleep noise machine, no battery backup in it though, oh well...was delivered by amazons new delivery service at about 7am this morning (yes saturday morning)

yeah, they didnt ring the bell (and who delivers packages at that hour, seriously???) dont think I like their new service--no tracking numbers, no way to really know where you package is (amazon tracking says mine was left in the mail room---we have no such thing here!) so not sure I will buy stuff from them again in the future if they dont add tracking etc.

I'm not a big fan of their service either. So far everything that has been sent through them has arrived. But it always makes me nervous. Seems like it is the uber for amazon delivery. I have heard to many horror stories on Amazons site of people not having expensive stuff delivered. It is listed as delivered though, so sounds like people that are supposed to deliver it might be ripping it off...

so, I think we are finally going to have some 'fall' now...temps are dropping, (as is some rain) the leaves are turning and its supposed to be much cooler this week. I think I am fine with it as well, had a nice long summer (though it did get off to a rather slow start---) and it turned out to be pretty dang nice the whole time.

I stand corrected on the deliver service. Their actual uber delivery service is going to be called Amazon Flex. It is people that get paid $20 an hour to deliver packages in certain towns... Supposed to allow for you to get your package super quickly or something. But you have to pay an extra $9 and tip the driver. Pass. I'll wait two days.

Temps dropped quickly here. Sitting in the 60's now, which I am okay with! Still nice out.

I had free shipping (the item I ordered was plenty expensive enough), so I assssumed it would be the usps shipping, not the drop and run folks (I do not now nor will I ever get prime, I dont like amazon for most things, but it had the cheapest price for the machine so I took the bait).
and I doubt I live in 'one of those towns'

and yes, had the balcony door open (until they mowed the grass

) and a nice breeze for a good part of the day; nice not to have the a/c on.

Ya I am good paying for my Prime membership and getting my free 2 day shipping and movies. I just want them to use UPS again... or even USPS. Or FedEx. But not their own service... It is to hit or mis.

I love the smell of mowed grass. Part of the reason I want to get a house (besides more space and stuff) is so I can have a yard to work in and mow. Would be sweet.

(And annoying sometimes of course)

grass is one of my biggest allergies (cats and mold are the other 2 biggies), so mowed grass is not something I like to have in the air....used to mow the grass when I was younger, until I got my allergy (didnt start with it). Would like to have a yard (hubby can do the mowing----

After awhile the yard is more work than anything
